Shannon's professional career started in the Josephine County District Attorney's Office in September of 1996, where she prosecuted misdemeanor and felony crimes from 1996 until March of 1998. |
| Deputy District Attorney Clackamas County District Attorney's Office |
In March of 1998 she began work back home as a Deputy District Attorney at the Clackamas County District Attorney's Office. While there she specialized in person crimes, specifically domestic violence, elder abuse, robbery, homicides and sexual abuse. |
| Senior Assistant Attorney General Oregon Department of Justice |
She left Clackamas County in 2010 for a position as a Senior Assistant Attorney General with the Oregon Department of Justice. While there she specialized in large scale drug prosecution of drug trafficking organizations, wire tap investigations and public corruption cases. |
